Matthias has been developing his specialisation in Franco-Czech economic and commercial cooperation for over ten years. He is also responsible for the firm’s activities in France.
He provides legal advice to investors from the Czech Republic and other Central European countries regarding their activities in France, particularly in relation to setting up offices and branches, acquiring equity interests in French companies, property acquisitions, business takeovers as part of restructuring processes, and commercial disputes.
He also provides services to French entrepreneurs in their strategic expansion into the Czech Republic and in resolving their disputes.
He also advises individuals on the structuring and implementation of their private investment projects in France.
More generally, he draws on his extensive multicultural experience when advising international clients, including those from South Africa.
His specialisations include transactions and litigation in the areas of corporate law, capital markets, shareholder relations, acquisitions and disposals of businesses and other assets, e nd tenancy agreements, private law, loans and financing, insolvency and restructuring, and employment law.
Matthias is a member of the Paris and Czech Bar Associations. He obtained a Master’s degree specialising in commercial litigation from the Université Paris I La Sorbonne and a Master’s degree in commercial law from the Université de Paris II Assas La Sorbonne.
He is also a member of the Masaryk Association, which focuses on Franco-Czech cooperation in the legal field, and of the Franco-Czech Chamber of Commerce.
He regularly participates as a speaker at seminars organised by the Czech Bar Association or the CzechTrade agency.
